Room by Room: The Best Lighting for Every Space in Your Home
EyeRelief Studio
Every room has a different job, so every room needs a different kind of light. Here is a quick, practical plan for each space.
Living room
The room where layering matters most. Start with a soft ceiling light, then add a floor lamp by the sofa and one or two table lamps or sconces. Aim for warm white (2700–3000K) and keep everything dimmable.
Ideas: Huojian™ in a corner, Yixian™ for a minimalist glow. Shop the Living Room edit.
Bedroom
Think calm. A gentle ceiling light, plus bedside light that doesn't take space: wall sconces or small pendants. Choose 2700K, and put the switch within reach of the bed.
Ideas: Shizhu™ marble sconces, Shibing™ mini pendants. Shop the Bedroom edit.
Dining room
The table is the stage. One statement pendant or a linear light centred over the table, hung 28–34 in above it, on a dimmer. Add a sconce or two on the walls for depth.

Kitchen
Bright where you work, warm where you gather. Pendants over the island, task light on the counters, a slightly cooler neutral white (3000–4000K) for preparation.
Shop Kitchen Lighting.
Bathroom
Light the face, not the top of the head. Sconces on each side of the mirror at eye level give shadow-free light. Choose fixtures rated for damp locations near showers.
Shop Bathroom Lighting.
Entryway & hallway
The first impression of your home. Compact flush mounts repeated along a corridor, or a sculptural sconce facing the door. A warm 3000K feels welcoming.
Ideas: Mubo™, Shengsuo™. Shop Entryway & Hallway.
Outdoor, porch & garden
Safety first, then atmosphere. Waterproof wall lights on each side of the front door, lights along steps and paths, and cordless lamps for the dinner table outside. Choose IP65 for exposed walls.
Ideas: Kuangjia™, Denglong™. Shop Outdoor Lighting.
EyeRelief tip — Before buying, stand in each room at night with only the existing lights on, and notice the dark corners. Those corners are exactly where your next lamp belongs.
